0100 · Start Here

Two minutes here saves fifteen on a call.

The intro is a short video conversation with the principal — not a form, not a salesperson, and not a working session. Read this first. If the firm is not the right fit for what you need, you will know before you give up a slot, and so will we.

0110 · The Fifteen Minutes

What it is. What it is not.

What we cover

What you are dealing with, what an engagement would include, roughly what it would cost, and whether this firm is the right one to do it. You leave with a clear scope and a next step — or an honest answer that we are not the right fit.

What we do not cover

No tax advice, no planning, and no analysis of a specific position. Fifteen minutes without your documents in hand would produce guesswork, and guesswork from a CPA is worth less than nothing. Real answers come after we have the file.

0120 · Before You Book

Find yourself here first.

Not everyone needs the call. Two of these are answered faster on another page, and one skips the calendar entirely.

0121

You are ready to start

Then skip the call. Send your documents straight through secure guest access on the file exchange — no account needed, nothing by email. We review what you sent, tell you what the engagement looks like, and assign you a portal login from there. This is the fastest way in, and it is the one we prefer.

0122

You just want a price

Then the pricing page will beat this call. Individual returns start at $425, business returns at $1,275, and bookkeeping and advisory are scoped to the work. Nothing on the call undercuts those numbers.

One W-2 and nothing else

A single W-2 with the standard deduction is a straightforward return. We prepare them, and the floor applies — but you do not need a meeting to start. Send the documents through the portal and we will scope it from there.

How returns work here

0124

You run something

An entity, employees, equipment, properties, trucks, crews. Books that are behind, fractured across systems, or living in spreadsheets. A notice you do not understand. This is the work this firm is built for, and the call is worth both our time.

0130 · What to Have Ready

Four answers make the call useful.

You will be asked these when you book. Having them ready is the difference between a scoping call and a fact-finding call.

0131

What you are

Sole proprietor, S-corp, partnership, corporation — or not formed yet. If you are not sure what you elected, say so. It is a common answer and a fixable one.

0132

How far behind

Current, a few months, a year, or no books at all. Nobody here is impressed by clean books and nobody is alarmed by a shoebox. It only changes the scope.

0133

How many accounts

Business checking, savings, cards, loans, merchant processors. Count them. Volume and account count drive bookkeeping scope more than anything else.

0134

What it lives in

QuickBooks, a spreadsheet, a bank login, a folder of statements, or nothing yet. Every one of those is workable. Knowing which one saves the first ten minutes.

0140 · Book It

Still the right door? Take fifteen minutes.

Face to face by video with Kevin Hemingway, CPA. No charge, no obligation, and no one else on the call. If video will not work on your end, say so when you book and we will do it by phone instead.

Fifteen Minutes with the Principal

We size up what you need, whether the firm is a good fit, and what an engagement would cover — and you leave with a clear scope and next steps. This consultation is for engagement evaluation and does not include tax advice, tax planning, or detailed analysis of specific tax situations.
