Kevin Hemingway is the managing shareholder and principal CPA of HEMINGWAY CPA INC — a licensed Certified Public Accountant and IRS Enrolled Agent, credentialed to both prepare returns and represent clients before the IRS.
Kevin personally handles the intake for every new client and reviews and signs every completed tax return before it is filed. That isn’t a policy statement — it’s how the firm has operated since day one. You will meet your CPA at the start, and your CPA will be the last set of eyes on your return before it goes out. His approach is methodical, direct, and technology-forward: he built the firm to deliver large-firm rigor with the kind of personal accountability only a principal-led practice can offer.
He’s also sat where his clients sit — and the résumé reads like his client list. Kevin started in dealership fixed operations, where he built a Kenworth dealer’s internal repair department into a steady profit center. Corporate accounting and controllership followed: automating SaaS revenue at a software company, building project budgets alongside engineers on biofuel builds, and consolidating thirteen oilfield-service locations across multiple states as controller for Delta Rigging & Tools. Along the way, in 2009, he founded Bookends Business Services and grew it into what is now HEMINGWAY CPA INC — more than fifteen years of meeting payroll and making the same equipment and hiring calls his clients face. The advice here comes from the chair, not the textbook.
The county on the letterhead is home, too: Kevin has served on the board of Family Promise of Montgomery County, including two years as vice chair, and spent seven years on the board of the Conroe Symphony Orchestra, including a term as treasurer.
