Meet Kevin Hemingway, CPA · MBA · EA.
Kevin Hemingway is the managing shareholder and principal CPA of HEMINGWAY CPA INC. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and IRS Enrolled Agent, credentialed to prepare returns and to represent clients before the IRS.
Kevin personally handles the intake for every new client and reviews and signs every completed tax return before it is filed. You meet your CPA at the start, and your CPA is the last set of eyes on your return before it goes out.
He has also sat where his clients sit, and the résumé reads like his client list. Kevin started in dealership fixed operations. He built a Kenworth dealer’s internal repair department into a steady profit center. Corporate accounting and controllership followed. He automated SaaS revenue at a software company and built project budgets alongside engineers on biofuel builds. As controller for Delta Rigging & Tools, he consolidated thirteen oilfield-service locations across several states. That work runs on financial modeling and advanced Excel, and the MBA (University of Houston–Clear Lake) is where the toolkit came from. Along the way, in 2009, he founded Bookends Business Services, which became HEMINGWAY CPA INC, a CPA firm since 2017. That is more than fifteen years of meeting payroll and making the same equipment and hiring calls his clients face. His advice comes from running a business, not reading about one.
The county on the letterhead is home, too. Kevin has served on the board of Family Promise of Montgomery County, two years of it as vice chair. He spent seven years on the board of the Conroe Symphony Orchestra, with a term as treasurer.

Every return here is prepared by a licensed CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent and signed by the principal CPA. No seasonal preparers, no outsourced labor, and no interns: an unlicensed hand never touches the return or the tax software. Bookkeeping and administrative work is performed by our own staff under licensed supervision. The credential standard doesn’t flex when volume increases.
Where We Work
Headquartered inside The Westland Bunker, a secured business campus in Montgomery, TX, backed by six diesel generators and redundant internet. In-office meetings are by appointment for Montgomery County, Conroe, Magnolia, and The Woodlands. Everyone else works with us fully virtual, across Texas and nationwide.
Focus
Contractors, trades, and trucking have been the core since 2009: field-service businesses whose accounting runs on trucks, crews, equipment, and job sites. They are the same local businesses we buy from. Small businesses and individuals get the same rigor.
Governance
Confidentiality is a system here: qualified vendors only, consent-first where federal law requires it, encrypted document exchange, and licensed eyes on everything that leaves the firm.
