Everything on one chart of accounts.

Compliance keeps you legal; planning keeps you profitable. Tax, books, payroll, and advisory under one roof — so nothing falls through the cracks between your bookkeeper, your payroll company, and your tax preparer. Here, they're the same firm. And the heading isn't a figure of speech: services live in the 4000s because that's where revenue belongs.

5000 · How We Work

The CPA in the loop.

AI makes our firm faster. A license makes it accountable. Here's the routing slip every piece of your work follows — no exceptions, no shortcuts.

Station 01 · Draft

AI Accelerates

Governed AI tools handle intake, document extraction, and first drafts inside our secured environment — cutting turnaround from weeks to days.

Station 02 · Review

A CPA Verifies

A licensed CPA or EA reviews every figure against source documents. Reconciliations tie to the penny, or the work doesn't move forward.

Station 03 · Sign

A License Stands Behind It

Nothing is filed or delivered without professional sign-off — and every tax return is reviewed and signed by our principal CPA before it goes out. A credential and a signature, not a disclaimer.

✓ TIES TO SOURCE Our internal standard on every deliverable: numbers foot, cross-foot, and reconcile to your bank and books before anything reaches your inbox.
5100 · Confidentiality

Your numbers don't leave the job site.

"AI-leveraged" raises a fair question: where does my data go? Here's the straight answer — governance is a system at this firm, not a slogan.

Qualified Vendors Only

Client data moves only through technology vendors we've vetted and qualified in writing — with documented security terms and re-qualification triggers when anything changes. Never consumer-grade cloud apps. Never public AI tools.

Consent First

Where federal law requires your written consent before technology touches your return information, consent-first is our written policy — in plain language, before the work begins. Not buried in fine print after.

Hardened Infrastructure

Your data lives at a Tier 3 data center with gated, manned entry, onsite backup power, and redundant internet — protected by Smart Lockout, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Knowledge-Based Authentication.

Licensed Eyes on Everything

No offshore processing pools. No unlicensed preparers. No AI output delivered without professional review. Documents move through our encrypted client portal — never as loose email attachments.

"We do not hand off your work to unlicensed preparers — and we do not hand it to unsupervised machines." — FIRM GOVERNANCE POLICY

Want proof we mean it? Here’s our complete client list. Every name included. The full framework — §7216, AICPA rules, and firm practice — is written down in our confidentiality standard.

7900 · Straight Answers

Questions contractors & truckers actually ask.

Do I have to pay to become a client?

No. The first step is a free 15-minute consultation with Kevin Hemingway, CPA — we discuss your needs, determine whether our firm is a good fit, and you leave with an estimated fee range and next steps. The paid strategy consult is a separate, optional engagement for owners who want a full review of their prior return and books before deciding. Neither is required to become a client.

Should my trucking company or contracting business be an S-corp?

Often, yes — once net profit clears a threshold, an S-corp election can meaningfully reduce self-employment tax. But the answer depends on your profit level, payroll, state filings, and equipment strategy. We run the analysis with your actual numbers before recommending an election, because a poorly timed S-corp can cost more in payroll compliance than it saves in tax.

What is the difference between tax preparation and tax planning?

Tax preparation reports what already happened — it is filed after the year ends and can only work with the facts as they are. Tax planning happens during the year, while you can still change the outcome: timing equipment purchases, adjusting entity structure, setting owner compensation, and managing estimated payments. Preparation keeps you compliant; planning lowers the bill.

You use AI — is my financial data safe?

Your data moves only through technology vendors we have vetted and qualified in writing, and where federal law requires your written consent before technology touches your return information, consent-first is our written policy. Every AI-assisted draft is reviewed by a licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent before anything is filed or delivered. AI makes our firm faster; it never replaces licensed review.

Do you only work with clients near Montgomery, Texas?

No. The practice has run virtual-first since 2009, with a secure client portal and electronic signature for everything. Most of our contractor, trades, and trucking clients are across Texas and beyond — trucking clients in particular often need multi-state filings, which we handle routinely.

My QuickBooks is a mess. Can you fix it?

Yes. Clean-ups and catch-ups are core work for us, on both QuickBooks Desktop and Online. We reconcile the books to your bank statements, correct miscoded transactions, and hand back financials a lender or bonding company will accept — then keep them closed monthly so the mess does not come back.

What does the strategy consult cost and what do I get?

The strategy consult is a paid, flat-fee engagement quoted upfront — no hourly meter. We review your prior return and current books, identify what is costing you money, and deliver a prioritized action list you keep whether or not you engage us for the follow-on work. Full pricing for ongoing services is published on our pricing page.
